Retention
How long files stay on Zog before automatic deletion.
Every uploaded file is automatically permanently deleted 30 days after upload.
What this means
- Retention is counted from upload time, not last download
- Soft-deleted files are purged after a short grace period, then gone
- Share links and collaborator access end when the underlying file is removed
- Paid plans do not extend retention — capacity and max file size change, not lifetime
Tips
- Download anything you need to keep before the expiry countdown hits zero
- The Files list shows days remaining on each file
- Plan upgrades buy more storage room, not longer retention
If you need long-term archives, keep a copy outside Zog.
